Mountain West Trade School is expanding to Colorado! We’re preparing to bring our industry-leading HVAC and appliance repair training programs to the Front Range and beyond. Colorado students will soon have access to the same hands-on, certification-focused curriculum that has helped students in Montana and Kansas launch successful trade careers.
HVAC Careers in Colorado
Colorado’s booming population growth, rapid construction pace, and aging infrastructure create exceptional demand for skilled HVAC technicians. The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment projects strong, sustained job growth for HVAC professionals throughout the state — particularly along the Front Range from Fort Collins to Pueblo.
What to Expect from Our Colorado Program
When we launch in Colorado, students can expect the same rigorous, certification-focused training available to students in our other markets:
- EPA 608 Universal – Required in Colorado to handle refrigerants professionally
- NATE Ready to Work – The top entry-level HVAC credential recognized by Colorado employers
- OSHA 10/30 – Mandatory safety training for most Colorado commercial job sites
Colorado HVAC Licensing
Colorado requires HVAC contractors to be licensed, and individual technicians working under a licensed contractor must meet specific certification requirements. Our program is structured to meet Colorado’s requirements from day one.
